The SBMU Reproductive Endocrinology Research Center (RERC) was officially formed in 2010. The SBMU RERC was established in order to develop and promote the knowledge level in science and research in medical sciences, and familiarize the researchers and students of medicine with the latest achievements, especially in fields related to reproductive and endocrine disorders related to reproductive.
The SBMU RERC is one of the eight research centers at SBMU Research Institute for Endocrine Sciences (RIES). The center benefits from the presence of two full-time, and five part-time academic staff members, as well as the experts in the field. Bearing in mind that the center is a sub-center at SBMU RIES, there are very close scientific interactions with the other centers in research which pursue the fields of fertility and reproduction. The presence of the Research Base at the 14th Municipality District in Tehran is one of the advantages to perform multi-dimensional, community-based researches both at the RERC and RIES. There is also the chance of utilizing the equipped and standard facilities at physiology and bio-chemistry labs related to the clinical sites on lab animals for animal modeling in order to use them in applied researches.
